Visual
Coatings, a division of Scenic Studios, is the largest manufacturer
and supplier of specialist scenic paints and flame retardants in Australia.
Available in a wide range of high pigment colours and supplied in convenient
container sizes from .8 litre to 10 litres. Our paints can be specially
mixed to your colour requirements and are specially formulated to be
flexible, especially useful for backdrops and scenery. The paint has
been developed by an artist for the artist. It has been modified, improved
and tested over a period of 30 years.
Today we have arguably the best product in the world, currently distributed
throughout Australia and New Zealand, and we are positioning ourselves
in Europe via Holland and Germany.

The
attributes that we considered necessary to produce scenery paints are:
1.
Colour Range:
The need for a comprehensive range of colours
which are aligned with the scene designers range of artists tube colours
to aid the colour matching to designs.
2.
Colour Quality:
Colours
must be manufactured from good quality pigment so as to ensure clean,
vibrant colours. Even secondary and intermediate colours, where critical,
should be produced from pure pigments and not from intermixing colours.
The colours are consistent with the artists pallette. The paint can
be applied by brush, roller or spray gun to fabric and to built pieces.
As the paint is manufactured from pure pigment,, the colour is clean
and vibrant.

Fexible
Membrane Is a versatile, thick,
waterbased interior and exterior flexible
and waterproof coating.
Used
where 'high build' thickness is essential, it is designed for
applying texture to fabrics, bonding theatre net to cut cloths,
applying to cut fabric to prevent fraying and to coat foam animated
sculpture. Build
applications to give desired thickness.
Membrane
can be tinted to any colour as required.

Insulcote
has been tested to Australian standard of AS1530 PART 3 BY AWTA
TEXTILE TESTING.
Container size: 10 ltrs | 4 ltrs
| 2.2 ltrs | 0.8 ltrs
Application: It is important to do
test samples to ascertain if fabric is receptive to flame retarder.
Fabric should be clean and dry. Insulcote may be sprayed, brushed
or dipped.

FIRECHECK
- 0014 Flame Retardant for rigid
surfaces.
Firecheck, when exposed to direct flame heat,
swells and limits the progress of flammable substrate, severely
retarding or completely eliminating the spread of flame.
Firecheck
is a flat finish, water based, membrane which is also water resistant
with exceptional UV resistance.
Tested
and approved to international standard 1530 part 3
Ideal
for all surfaces where fire retardant properties are required.
Can be colour tinted as required.

Scene Paint colour range:
Our specialist scene paint is manufactured on the premises in this wide
range of standard colours. Special colours can be mixed to order. We
can also supply paint buckets in a range of sizes from 0.8 litre to
10 litre.
